A new intake form was fixed for two WordPress Custom HTML problems: scoping its CSS and base64-encoding its script. Two sibling pages built from the same starting template were then pasted in with neither fix, and both broke in exactly the same ways the first page had.
A Fix Applied to One Page Quietly Missed Its Siblings
Field Note #311
⚡ Quick Fix (TL;DR)
The Culprit: The fix was treated as belonging to one file instead of one pattern. Pages that share an origin share their failure modes, and the documented rule for this problem existed but wasn't checked before the next paste.
The Fix: Went back and applied both fixes to the remaining pages. Practical habit: when a fix turns out to be a general rule about the platform, immediately list every other file made the same way and check them against it before shipping the next one, and read the rule back against the new file rather than relying on memory.
