The symptom
A hero video looked smooth while playing, but a small movement was visible when it restarted.
The effect was subtle: the Earth appeared to move slightly downward at the restart and then come back up. It made the loop feel like a restart rather than a continuous motion.

Initial assumption
The video was already short and appeared to be functioning correctly, so the issue initially looked like a browser or playback quirk.
But the visible movement occurred at the actual loop boundary.

Investigation
The key observation was that the first and last visual positions of the video did not line up perfectly.
Even a very small difference between the final frame and the opening frame can become noticeable when the video loops continuously.
For a background hero video, the viewer may notice this more than they would during ordinary video playback because there is no visible player interface to explain the transition.
